OLYMPIA-AJOT

 60 years ago there were an last day of the olympic track races here in helsinki. A punch of fixed gear actives decided to arrange an playful olympic event to salute those days. So, today at 8am we went to the velodrome and competed in two events; miss and out and individual pursuit. Totally we were 15 riders on a track. We also had an nice breakfast and spent a few hours in the sunny weather before the work. Here´s a few photos by Kim Heikkinen (group photo) and Jarkko Knuutila. KOF 2012

KOF (King Of Fixed) was held last saturday here in Helsinki. Hattara took the crown by winning total 3 of 5 events. PstkoFixed salutes you! Big props goes to Samuli and Paulos too, who arrangened the venues! I took more photos of the people than the actual events, but I hope You like them anyways! More here.

Tomorrow 31th of july we will race olympic-style! Races will start 8am sharp at the olympic velodrome of Käpylä, Helsinki.

HUBJUB TAKEN OVER

Hubjub has been taken over by Heart Of Wales Bikes. Hopefully they will have the same kind of stock for Nitto and EAI than Hubjub had. Customer service and cheap shipping fees are also the things I, and I think all us us miss about Hubjub. Their webstore does not work yet, but hopefully soon as they get their stocks full. So hold your horses!

SUPERB WEEKEND AHEAD!

Next weekend is THE WEEKEND of the year for anycycling fanatics here in Finland. There´s the Bicycle Film Festival, King Of Fixed races, We Love Helsinki cycling day and an national track championships at olympic velodrome. If that´s not enough there´s the Kuudes aisti festival at Kuudes linja (for those hipsters around). So, there will be something for everyone.
